    1. It is really unfortunate that some members of the Kano ruling family will stoop this low in their desperation to villify and demonize the person of His Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II. I do not recall seeing such venom and unprecedented level of character assasination emanating from the ruling family. It really is unfortunate. They have gone too far this time. Such terriby unfair evil and character assasination is not what one would expect from people of the lineage of the Great Ibrahim Dabo. It is true that every male member of the Sullubawa Clan aspires to sit on the throne of Dabo. But only one such members can be chosen as Emir at any one point in time when the throne is vacant. Perhaps, unknown to those desperate members of the ruling family who refuse to accept the will of Azza-Wajal, but it is He who giveth, and it's He who taketh away.

Thankfully, everyone (including the writer of the article, my brother Jaafar) knows that this is cheap blackmail. It is the product of a childish photoshopping job. It is, of course, no rocket science to photoshop pictures and demonize anyone (any 10-year old with a computer or smart phone can do the sort of job these desperate members of the ruling family did).. Further, this sort of desperate, cheap and childish attacks only help to solidfy and strengthen the power, majesty and popularity of His Highness. We call on these sons of Dabo to desist from such un-Dabo-like practices. It is laughable for one to say they are from Dabo and act in ways that are decidedly un-Dabo-like. We call on them to be Dabo-like. To be men of honor, integrity and exemplary moral values. The more they stoop to these low levels, the more they prove to the whole world that they never ever were qualified to be remotely considered for the colossal throne of Dabo. In any case, despite all these unfortunate and childish desperate machinitions from some of his brethren, His Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II has remained above board, and forgiving. He dismissed all attempts to get him to respond in kind to those detractors of his from within the royal household by saying ``they are my brothers", and I love all my brothers. That's so Dabo. I thank Jaafar for seeing through the childish photoshopping job, and emphatically calling it as such. This (level of diligence/professionalism) is what one would expect of any self-respecting journalist... we hope others emulate Jaafar's diligence and professionalism.

Blessed be the Kano Emirate. Blessed be His Highness MSII. May he continue to have a peaceful, productive, healthy and long reign.
