PDP leaders storm Senate, protest Onochie’s nomination as INEC Commissioner

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party stormed the Senate on Wednesday in opposition to the nomination of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, for appointment as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, representing Delta State.

They also cautioned the defecting members, stating that they would be made to lose their seats in the Senate.

They used the opportunity to submit the letter titled, “Rejection of the nomination of Lauretta Onochie as INEC Commissioner,” and signed by Senator Umaru Ibrahim Tsauri, the National Secretary of PDP.
